The Joy of Hearing is Something we Really Love

Man happily talking with his hearing specialist about restoring his hearing.

Have you viewed the videos on YouTube? A 7-month old baby hears his mother’s voice for the first time after being fitted for a hearing aid. You might find yourself crying tears of joy when you see his smile.

You can find lots of videos like this online. You feel like you’re part of that special moment that the child is having with their parents and doctors.

The baby doesn’t always take to the idea of getting hearing aids put in at first. They struggle when the doctor tries to put the device on their ear. Occasionally, before they smile with delight, they cry. They are overtaken by a range of emotions. They don’t know what to expect. But in the end, with restored hearing, the world suddenly opens up for them.

This joy that they’re feeling can be a reality for anyone.

Does the idea of using hearing aids make you anxious? You’re not by yourself. You don’t need to be a child to be a bit wary of this new experience.

People of any age can have the joy and happiness that hearing aids bring.

Music to Your Ears

You might not have even noticed. It happened so gradually. You don’t listen to music anymore. It just didn’t seem as pleasant anymore. At times, it was even grating. It got even worse when you turned up the volume.

The volume you hear is not the only thing that is effected by hearing loss. It impacts how you hear different frequencies and tones.

Music is, as every musician knows, a wonderful blend of sound frequencies that meld together to produce the sound that we hear as.., well, music. It’s just not the same if you can’t hear the subtle complexity of the music.

But put your hearing aid on. Suddenly you can hear those once silent tones. Music again comes alive. You had lost that pleasure in your life, but now you have it back.

The Laughter of a Child

Do you remember the sound of a child’s laughter? Maybe your hearing loss has caused you to forget this amazing experience.

Rediscover these magical moments with your grandchildren by recovering your hearing.

Where Did All The Birds go?

Remember all those birds in your yard? If you go to the park there will be hundreds. While some of their chirps are more pleasing than others, it’s something you might not appreciate until they’ve gone.

Except there not gone. These joyful sounds of nature once tremendously enhanced your life, but now you don’t hear them because of your hearing loss.

But when you put in your hearing aids those wonderful sounds of nature come back to enhance your life once more.

Relationships Repaired

Relationships can be significantly strained by neglected hearing loss. People get frustrated. There’s misunderstanding causing more arguments. It can even cause somebody with hearing loss to isolate themselves, so they don’t feel like a burden.

They often feel all alone and disconnected from other’s discussions causing them to avoid going out to dinner or other social events.

Have you quit hobbies because they aren’t as satisfying?

Your relationship with friends and family will be renewed by the simple act of using hearing aids.

Learn to talk to each other again. Talk for hours. Get back to doing the things you enjoy and being with people you love.

It’s time to think about hearing aids particularly if you miss these things.

Confidence That You’re Safe in Your Home

Does what you can’t hear make you feel anxious? If a family member was injured and calling for help in a different, would you be able to hear them? A doorbell, oven timer, or smoke alarm..would you be able to hear them? Maybe you would miss a crucial phone call because you couldn’t hear it ring.

When you stroll through the neighborhood, are you certain that you will hear oncoming traffic, pedestrian signals, or a bicycle bell?

These “what ifs” can make us feel insecure in places where we should feel absolutely comfortable.

But when you use your hearing aid, you can be more relaxed, and enjoy life to its fullest. You’ll be more at peace.

You Most Likely Don’t Even Recognize How Much You’re Missing

Hearing loss advances slowly in most cases. It’s possible that you don’t even remember how much you enjoyed things before your hearing started to decline.

You’ll be amazed when you suddenly hear them again. You’ll regret letting it go this long. Think your hearing loss isn’t that bad? Get it looked at. Call us to schedule a hearing test.
